News: 2CV 24 Hour Race

The 2CV 24-hour race is an annual event that takes place in May or early June. In the past the race took place at Mondello circuit in Ireland, but since 2003 it has been held at Snetteron circuit in Norfolk, England.

Here is my road legal race 2CV in the 2004 24-hour race at Snetterton, the team came 24th out of a field of 32 in that year. The photograph above shows me on the right with Andy Selman, the team's re-fueller, on the left.

In 2005 the Frome racing car with drivers Martin Harrold, Spencer Trenery, Ed Straw and Jeremy Clark achieved 16th position out of 30 entrants. On this occasion, the car was driven to the circuit from Frome, did the practice sessions, the qualifying sessions and the race, and was driven back to Frome.

In 2006 we enjoyed a very memorable few days at the race, but in 2007, as it is the 100th anniversary of the Peking to Paris Race, and as we have entered a 2CV into this, we are sending a dedicated team of mechanics to the 24 hour race to assist in the pits.
